FAQs

What types of interpreting services do you offer?

We provide on-site (in-person) interpreting, over-the-phone interpreting, and video remote interpreting (VRI), in both consecutive and simultaneous formats, across more than 200 languages. We match each assignment with an interpreter experienced in your industry and setting, from medical and legal to business and education.

What is the difference between consecutive and simultaneous interpreting?

In consecutive interpreting, the speaker pauses and the interpreter conveys each segment afterward, which suits appointments, meetings, and interviews. In simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter renders the message in real time as the speaker talks, which suits conferences and large events and usually requires specialized equipment. We help you choose the right format for your setting.

What is the difference between translation and interpreting?

Translation is written: converting documents and text from one language to another. Interpreting is spoken: conveying meaning between people in real time, whether in person, by phone, or by video. Many organizations need both, and we provide each as a dedicated service.

When should I use phone or video remote interpreting instead of in-person?

Phone and video remote interpreting (VRI) are ideal when you need an interpreter quickly, for shorter interactions, for less common languages, or when an on-site interpreter isn't practical. VRI adds visual context, which helps for sign language and situations where seeing the participants matters. In-person interpreting remains best for long, complex, sensitive, or high-stakes settings.

Do you provide medical interpreters?

Yes. We provide interpreters experienced in healthcare settings, including appointments, procedures, and patient communication, who understand medical terminology and the confidentiality and accuracy standards these situations require.

Do you provide legal and court interpreters?

Yes. We provide interpreters for legal proceedings, court hearings, depositions, and attorney-client meetings, with the terminology knowledge and impartiality these high-stakes settings demand.

How do I schedule an interpreter?

Contact us with the language, date, time, location or format (on-site, phone, or video), and subject matter, and we match you with a qualified interpreter. For on-site assignments, more notice helps us secure the right interpreter, and we also support phone and video remote interpreting for faster or on-demand needs.

How much do interpreting services cost?

Interpreting cost depends on the language, the format (on-site, phone, or VRI), the length of the assignment, the subject matter, and location or travel for in-person work. Because needs vary, we provide a custom quote with transparent pricing and no hidden fees.

What languages do you interpret?

We interpret in more than 200 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Korean, Haitian Creole, Russian, and many others, as well as American Sign Language (ASL). We can source interpreters for both common and rare languages.
